Repair procedures restore a lower-extremity vein's wall to its normal structure when it's been torn, lacerated, or otherwise damaged, without using a different root operation that better describes the specific technique. This is the default, catch-all category for fixing a venous defect when no more specific procedure, such as bypass grafting or occlusion, applies.
A typical scenario is suturing a vein that was accidentally lacerated during another surgery, such as an orthopedic procedure near the femoral vessels, or repairing a traumatic injury from a penetrating wound. It also covers closing an iatrogenic injury caused by a misplaced catheter or needle during another venous procedure.
Because Repair is meant to bring the vessel back to normal anatomy and function, it's generally a more conservative fix than reconstructing the vein with graft material.

The right renal vein is a short vessel draining the right kidney directly into the inferior vena cava, its brevity a defining feature that leaves less room for mobilization or tension-free repair compared with its longer left-sided counterpart. This anatomic constraint makes injuries during right nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, or retroperitoneal lymph node dissection technically demanding, since even small lacerations near the caval junction can be difficult to control without temporarily occluding the vena cava. Approach: Percutaneous Endoscopic
Percutaneous Endoscopic combines a puncture through skin or mucous membrane with insertion of an endoscope to visualize the procedure internally, as in laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It is distinguished from plain Percutaneous by the presence of scope-guided visualization, and from Via Natural or Artificial Opening Endoscopic by its route being a new puncture rather than an existing orifice or stoma.
