The lower lobe bronchus on the right arises from the bronchus intermedius below the middle lobe takeoff and carries airflow to the largest lobe of the right lung. Resection of this bronchus is performed when disease, most often a centrally growing tumor or a post-inflammatory stricture, is confined to the airway rather than the surrounding lung tissue, and it is frequently combined with reanastomosis to reconnect the bronchus intermedius to the remaining lower lobe segments. Approach: Percutaneous Endoscopic
