Key Symptoms: Persistent joint pain, swelling, and stiffness in the hands, particularly in the metacarpus and phalanges Swelling and tenderness in the affected joints Reduced grip strength and dexterity due to joint damage Fatigue and general feeling of malaise Symptoms related to heart involvement, which may include chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, or irregular heartbeats

Diagnosis Path: Physical examination assessing joint swelling, deformities, and function Blood tests including rheumatoid factor (RF), anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibodies, and markers of inflammation such as ESR and CRP X-rays of the hands to identify joint erosion and damage Echocardiogram to evaluate the heart’s structure and function, detecting inflammation or other abnormalities Electrocardiogram (ECG) to monitor heart rhythm and detect anomalies
