Key Symptoms: Open or closed wounds from fragments or shrapnel Bleeding injuries that may be severe or minor Burns resulting from explosion heat or fire Bone fractures from impact of blast fragments Concussion or traumatic brain injury due to shockwave Hearing loss or tinnitus following loud explosions Injuries to internal organs from penetrating fragments Shock or signs of hypovolemia, such as dizziness or fainting Lacerations and avulsions from shrapnel impacts Signs of infection if wounds are not properly treated

Diagnosis Path: Physical assessment of wounds and overall patient condition X-rays to identify and locate fragments or bone fractures Ultrasound or CT scans for internal injuries and organ damage Assessment of neurological function if brain injury is suspected Blood tests to evaluate infection risk, blood loss, and overall health status

Treatment Protocols: Immediate stabilization, including airway management, breathing, and circulation (ABCs) Control of bleeding through pressure, bandages, or tourniquets Wound cleaning and debridement to prevent infection Surgical interventions to remove shrapnel, repair damaged tissues or organs Pain management with appropriate medications Antibiotics and tetanus prophylaxis to prevent infection Supportive care for traumatic brain injuries or internal organ damage Rehabilitation services, including physical therapy and psychological support
