Clinical Causes: Previous hip injuries or fractures that have damaged joint surfaces Trauma resulting from accidents, falls, or sports injuries involving both hips Repetitive stress or overuse of the hip joints Previous surgeries on the hips that may have altered joint structure Underlying conditions that predispose to joint degeneration, such as inflammatory diseases, although less common

Key Symptoms: Persistent or increasing hip pain, especially during or after activity Stiffness and reduced range of motion in both hips Swelling or tenderness in the hip areas Grinding or clicking sensations during hip movement Difficulty walking or limping due to joint discomfort Decreased ability to perform daily activities involving hip movement Muscle weakness around the hips

Diagnosis Path: Physical assessment to evaluate joint tenderness, range of motion, and gait X-ray imaging to visualize joint space narrowing, bone spurs, or other degenerative changes Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for detailed visualization of cartilage damage and soft tissue structures Assessment of patient history to identify previous injuries or trauma that could have contributed to the condition

Treatment Protocols: Surgical options, such as hip replacement (arthroplasty), may be considered in advanced cases where conservative treatments are insufficient
