Since the virus remains unidentified in these cases, diagnosis relies on clinical judgment, considering the presence of typical influenza symptoms with additional respiratory manifestations. Differential diagnoses must be considered to rule out other respiratory infections, such as common cold, bacterial pharyngitis, or other viral illnesses.
