Key Symptoms: Redness or swelling of the affected skin Pain or a burning sensation in the area of injury Blistering or open wounds on the skin surface Skin discoloration, ranging from white to charred black in severe cases Swelling and tenderness around the burn site Possible signs of infection in more serious burns, such as pus or increased pain

Diagnosis Path: Diagnosis typically involves a physical examination of the burn area to assess the severity and extent of injuries. Healthcare providers may evaluate the depth of the burn (superficial, partial-thickness, or full-thickness) and the total body surface area (TBSA) affected.
