Diagnosis Path: Physical examination to assess pain, swelling, and signs of infection Imaging procedures such as X-rays, fluoroscopy, or CT scans to evaluate band position and integrity Endoscopy to visualize the stomach and check for erosion or other internal issues Laboratory tests if infection or other systemic effects are suspected

Treatment Protocols: Migration or slippage: may require surgical repositioning or removal of the band Band erosion: often necessitates removing or repairing the band endoscopically or surgically Infection: management with antibiotics and possible removal of the infected band Pouch dilation: dietary modifications, and in some cases, surgical revision Mechanical problems: repair or replacement of tubing or band components Management of symptoms like nausea or vomiting through medication and dietary adjustments In more severe cases, conversion to a different bariatric procedure might be considered
