Diagnosis Path: Blood tests: Complete blood count (CBC), which may reveal abnormal plasma cells in blood Bone marrow biopsy: Detailed analysis to measure plasma cell levels Flow cytometry: To distinguish malignant plasma cells from normal ones Imaging studies: X-rays, MRI, or CT scans to identify any residual disease or organ involvement Serum and urine protein electrophoresis: Detect abnormal monoclonal proteins produced by plasma cells
