Key Symptoms: Seizures or abnormal neurological activity Weak muscle tone or muscle weakness Difficulty feeding or poor suck reflex Delayed developmental milestones, such as sitting, crawling, or walking Lethargy or excessive irritability Poor responsiveness to stimuli Abnormal eye movements or reflexes Signs of paralysis or hemiparesis Unusual postures or delays in motor responses

Diagnosis Path: A thorough neurological examination to assess reflexes, muscle tone, and responsiveness Prenatal and birth history review to identify potential traumatic events Neuroimaging studies such as cranial ultrasound, MRI, or CT scans to visualize brain structures and identify areas of injury Electroencephalogram (EEG) to monitor electrical activity for seizures Developmental assessments to evaluate delays in milestones

Treatment Protocols: Physical therapy to improve motor skills and muscle strength Occupational therapy to aid in daily activities and coordination Speech therapy for children with feeding difficulties or speech delays Medication to control seizures or muscle spasms when necessary Nutritional support for infants with feeding challenges Regular developmental monitoring and early intervention programs Family education and counseling to prepare caregivers for ongoing needs
